The Four Cocktails of the Apocalypse

The Four Cocktails of the Apocalypse

Look. I don’t think it’s any surprise that I’m into comic books. I know everyone is in love with what Marvel Cinematic Universe is doing right now. I get it. It’s huge and it’s epic and who doesn’t love the fucking Avengers? The storylines are fairly thorough and the characters are well-portrayed. But you know what I prefer? Every. Damn. Time.

X-Men.

Can't wait to get my APOCA-LIPS on these.

Can’t wait to get my APOCA-LIPS on these.

I don’t know if it’s because I grew up loving the X-Men. Or if it’s because I grew up with the grittier film styles of the nineties that are very reminiscent of what Fox is doing now. But I fucking love it. I don’t think it’s as buttoned-up as the MCU films and there are definitely areas to improve upon, but I’m not nitpicking. When it comes down to just watching a fucking movie, I’ll pick X-Men every time.

Soooo X-Men: Apocalypse is coming out tomorrow (Friday, May 27th). I wanted to do a bunch of Apocalypse shit…. like something that makes your lips turn blue and Lebkuchen Sabah Nur… but alas, I was drawn to the alcohol again. Wait… I didn’t get drunk and forget to write a recipe. I made four cocktail recipes. Damn.

So here you are, the Four Cocktails of the Apocalypse: a Rusty Nail (Magneto), a Dark and Stormy (Storm), a Fallen Angel (Angel), and a Braddock No. 2 (Psylocke). Click the names of the cocktails to see larger photos.
